Oats are a very healthy option for breakfast. Its full of nutritional value. Some taste enhancers can help you serve them to your kids. My lil one is very fond of mangoes. So I came up with this recipe. It goes as:
Ingredients: 4 tbsp oats, 300 ml milk, one mango (preferably kesar mango), 3 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp sugar, saffron leaves 2-3, cardamom powder (1/4 tea spoon), 1 tea spoon ghee
Method of Prep:
Take ghee in a pan and heat it a little. Roast oats in it till golden brown. Gradually add milk to it and keep stirring occasionally till five minutes. Add sugar to it and bring to boil. Transfer it to a bowl and keep for cooling.
Peel off the mango and cut half mango into very small pieces. Make puree of other half and add cardamom powder and saffron to it. Add this pureed mango the oats bowl. Also add honey and stir it well.
Add mango pieces and refrigerate for half an hour.
Yummy oats is ready to serve.
