Making the Family tree book

A family tree is a simple chart that represents family relationships in a tree structure form. This exercise can be a great learning activity for your kid. You can help your child maintain a family tree chart book.

Start with your own family. Let your child draw a big tree and ask him/her to colour it. Ask him to draw apples in it as well. After that give your child the passport size photos of your grandparents, parents, uncle, aunt, cousins and others along with your child’s photo. Now help him stick all the photos neatly inside the apple; starting with grandparents at the top of the tree followed by the rest of the family.

Your child can start learning about different eminent personalities through the help of family trees. For example, tell your child about Mahatma Gandhi and his family and once he/she has collected all the information, ask him/her to prepare the family tree chart. I am sure this will be a fun exercise which will get your child to learn and intake general knowledge information.

By the way, the longest family tree in the world s that of the Chinese philosopher Confucius The tree spans more than 80 generations, and includes more than 2 million members! Share this information with your kid as he enjoys and makes the family tree!

Here is a family tree that your child can make:

  • Harivanshrai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan (grandparents)
  • Amitabh bachchan, Jaya bachchan (parents)
  • Ajitabh and Ramola Bachchan (uncle aunt)
  • Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan (son and daughter in law)
  • Sweta Bachchan Nanda and Nikhil Nanda (daughter and son in law) Navya Naveli and Agastya Nanda (their children)
